Event: Discussion and Dialog

Details: Eden Theological Seminary joins Aquinas Institute of Theology and the Jewish Community Relations Council in co-sponsoring a dialog and discussion featuring Amy-Jill Levine. The event, "The Jewish Annotated New Testament," will take place at 7pm on Sunday, September 23 at Aquinas, 23 South Spring Street in St. Louis.
Amy-Jill Levine is University Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies, E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Professor of New Testament Studies, and Professor of Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University Divinity School and College of Arts and Sciences. She is described as combining "historical-critical rigor, literary-critical sensitivity and a frequent dash of humor with a commitment to eliminate anti-Jewish, sexist and homophogic theologies."
The event, which is also supported by Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls and The Saint Louis Rabbinical Association, is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken.
