Curriculum Vitae
Bryan Demeritte is an experienced clergy person, scholar, educator, theologian, consultant and counselor. Ordained in 2005, his career as clergy includes the pastoring of 4 churches, one which he serves now as senior pastor. And – for over 27 years – he has instructed children and adults in both K12 settings and in institutions of higher learning as well as serving as an administrator in various settings, including the supervision of district wide gifted education programming. In addition, Bryan serves as the executive director of an online interactive professional development school for K12 teachers and religious educators. He also officiates weddings and other clergy tasks for the community and provides both pastoral counseling and spiritual direction to individuals and groups inside or outside of the congregational context.
After receiving both a Master of Science degree in education at Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) as well as a Master of Divinity degree in theology at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (St. Paul, Minnesota) in preparation for ordained ministry, Bryan recently completed (at Saint Thomas University in Miami, Florida) his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Practical Theology, with special area of research concentration in religious education. His educational preparation and his experience are woven together in a pattern of diversity that offers him opportunities to teach in many subject areas in institutions of higher education, consult with religious education professionals and congregational leaders, along with serving his local congregation and community as pastoral leader.
