On Tuesday, March 31st, Eden Seminary lights the Samuel D. Press Educational Building Tower in observance for and solidarity with the Trans Day of Visibility. Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces compared to cisgender (non-transgender) people. 2026 is a time of vicious rhetoric and policy action targeting Trans people, particularly in the State of Missouri, where in 2026 there are currently 52 Anti-Trans bills in process in the Missouri Legislature https://translegislation.com/bills/2026/MO
Bearing witness that trans rights are human rights and to trans visibility.
