Jessica Hanses is the Registrar at Eden Theological Seminary, where she ensures academic operations, registration systems, and curriculum processes run smoothly, supporting students and faculty throughout their academic journeys. She holds a B.A. in Sociology, an M.A. in Media Literacy, and is ABD in the Ed.D. program in Transformative Learning in the Global Community, all from Webster University. With experience in advising, online student success coaching, and assessment coordination, Jessica is dedicated to creating equitable, learner-centered environments that foster academic and personal growth.
Her doctoral research explores the intercultural and academic experiences of internationally mobile undergraduate students. Using visual and narrative methods, she examines how students navigate identity, adaptation, and liminality as they move between cultures and academic environments in U.S. higher education.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys traveling internationally and experiencing new cultures. She shares a love of sporting events, concerts, and exploring local neighborhoods with her partner, and spends her free time reading and adventuring with her two dogs, her trusty little explorers.
