As Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Rev. Dr. Blaufuss works with Eden alumni, fund-raising, communications, church and organizational partnerships. This position helps promote the visibility of Eden as part of the network of the Progressive Christian Movement.   Fund-raising enables the alignment of people’s faith passions with this community of learning and faith that is Eden Seminary.

She is an administrator, a theologian and historian, a pastor and teacher.  Previously, she has served as Team Leader in the national United Church of Christ staff for coordination of the denomination’s national and global disaster, refugee, sustainable development, and domestic volunteer ministries.  Dr. Blaufuss previously taught at the United Theological College in Bangalore, India as a mission co-worker of Global Ministries (UCC/Disciples). Her writing and teaching is in the area of mission theology and ecumenical history.

Mary loves connecting local communities around the globe, partnership-building and walking with people in their vocational discernment.
