Julie Jennings

As the Associate Dean at Eden Theological Seminary, Rev. Julie Jennings plays a pivotal role in coordinating student services and co-curricular programs designed to foster student success. She oversees Eden’s enrollment strategy and ensures seamless integration of the Seminary’s recruitment, admissions, and student support efforts with the Network Model of Theological Education. Julie’s work fosters ongoing collaborations with colleges, universities, and church judicatories to build a robust and inclusive theological community.

Rev. Jennings brings a wealth of experience as an executive leader with a strong track record of cultivating meaningful relationships and promoting the holistic wellbeing of individuals and organizations. Her leadership is deeply informed by her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, which she nurtures through empathy, curiosity, compassion, and respect. Prior to joining Eden, Julie served as Vice President of Spiritual Care and Wellbeing at Cedar Community in West Bend, WI. She also holds a current position on the Board of Trustees for the United Church of Christ Council for Health and Human Service Ministries (CHHSM). Julie’s chaplaincy experience includes roles at Every Child’s Hope in St. Louis and the Episcopal City Mission.

An Eden alumna, Julie is passionate about supporting the next generation of leaders in ministry. She brings a unique perspective as an engineer by training, which complements her pastoral work and her commitment to creating systems that support both individual and community flourishing.

Julie, along with her wife, Rev. Susan Drake (also an Eden alum), recently returned to St. Louis, where they are excited to settle into their new home. Known for her warm personality, Julie is as fun to be around as she is committed to her work, making her a cherished member of the Eden community.
