This is your opportunity to travel with an Eden Seminary group to immerse ourselves with church, school, and organization partners in Kenya!
Current Students: You can be part of this seminar for course credit. (Register for the course credit portion at the time of Spring class registration.)
Alumni, Friends, and Congregations: This experience is available to you through Eden’s Community Learning programming.
LEADING THE SEMINAR:
- Eden Theological Seminary faculty
- Rev. Phyllis Byrd, Mission Co-worker of Global Ministries (UCC/Disciples of Christ). Rev. Phyllis has served for decades alongside the Organization of Africa Initiated Churches in Kenya. The trip will include interaction with organizations working on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially in areas of the climate crisis, poverty and hunger, and women’s leadership.

- Intent to participate due: September 27 – October 18, 2024.

- First payment due: November 15, 2024. ($500 for current students with scholarship. $1,250 others.)
- Final payment due: December 13, 2024. ($500 for current students with scholarship. $1,250 others.)
TOTAL COSTS:
- Current students: immersion travel seminar scholarships are available to students who have not previously received an Eden immersion travel scholarship. Cost with Scholarship: $1,500 Cost without Scholarship: $3,000.
