About the Instructor(s):

Dr. Grace’s expertise in culturally relevant practices, building relationships with students and staff, and empowering students and staff to advocate for themselves and others has made her a dynamic facilitator for professional development related to equity and social justice.

Dr. Grace began her career in education in 2001 as a 3rd grade teacher in St. Louis Public Schools, and began her first year as a Principal in 2008. She has served in the St. Louis Public Schools district and Ferguson Florissant School district as an elementary and middle school principal.

Aisha Grace has an unwavering passion for educating students in underperforming schools. She understands that these students deserve the very best educators there is to offer. This passion has fueled her work with Excellence through Equity Consulting firm she co-founded, because she has witnessed the inequity these students have experienced beginning with the systematic racism they have experienced beginning at birth.

Dr. Grace was the School Turnaround Principal of the Month and Year as well as the 2nd Place winner of the 2014 Excellence in Education-Administration for St. Louis Magazine. Dr. Grace earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her Doctorate from Maryville University.
